SUNWEST EXISTS TO GUIDE ALL PEOPLE INTO A LIFELONG AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST.
Our mission describes the one thing we're all about.
Guiding... because we're on the journey together.
All... because the invitation Jesus gives absolutely for everyone. No asterisks.
Lifelong... because Jesus isn't looking for converts, but disciples. People who seek to follow him and obey his teachings.
Relationship... because Jesus didn't come to start a religion. He came to end our religious attempts to be 'good enough'. He did everything we couldn't do to make a way for us to have a relationship with the living God. It's all about a relationship, not about a religion.
with Jesus... Jesus is the way the truth and the life. No one comes to Father except through him. So yeah, it's all about him.

SHALOM BREAKERS BECOMING SHALOM MAKERS
The vision of SunWest Church is a description of what happens when people follow Jesus in a lifelong authentic relationship.
Shalom is right relationship with God, self, others, and the world.
"Shalom Breakers"... Our first step is to recognize we've broken shalom with God primarily but also subsequently with ourselves, others, and the world.
"Becoming"... speaks to the process of transformation in our lives as we let Jesus be the Lord of our lives. "Shalom Makers"... describes the life of co-partnering with God on mission to see his will come on earth as it is in heaven (Shalom).
It is through the free gift of salvation that Jesus offers us through his death and resurrection that shalom with God is possible. This is the relationship that changes everything.
