Alpha is an eleven-week series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. It provides a friendly, open environment for anyone curious. No question is off-limits, and it’s free. Invite family, friends or coworkers to participate with you! It’s a safe space to find out more about Jesus and explore what faith is all about.
SunWest has been hosting Alpha on an annual basis for the last two years. We have heard amazing stories and seen firsthand how Alpha can impact others. We are excited to run Alpha again this year beginning Tuesday evenings (6:30pm-8:30pm) on September 23 and running until December 2, 2025.
Come enjoy a free supper in community with discussions surrounding life's biggest questions. Participants will watch a 30-minute video to spark conversation, addressing questions like, "Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”

ALPHA VOLUNTEERING
Alpha creates space for honest conversations about life, faith, and Jesus—but it takes a team to make it possible. Would you pray and consider where you could invest your time and energy in this outreach initiative?

Invite + Accompany: Join Alpha alongside someone you know—a friend, neighbour, or coworker—who’s open to exploring faith.
Childcare Team: Help care for children so parents can fully participate in the Alpha experience.
Prayer Team: Cover the Alpha season in prayer before and during, believing God will move in hearts and lives.
Set-Up/Tear-Down Crew: Assist in preparing the space each week and resetting it afterward.
Hospitality Team: Plan, prep, or serve food—helping to create the warm, welcoming environment that makes Alpha so special.
Table Hosts: Facilitate weekly conversations, listen well, and create space for meaningful dialogue.
